BuildRunKit Dev Update – The Onboarding Makeover & Universal Auth
Hi Friends,
This week, we’ve focused on making BuildRunKit smoother and more reliable. We’ve overhauled our Settings Navigation for a cleaner, mobile-friendly experience and supercharged our Invoice Importer with smarter error messages. Most importantly, we’ve ensured Seamless Subscriptions and squashed key bugs to keep your workflows rock-solid.
Summary
This week was all about "Refinement and Connectivity." We completely rebuilt the settings architecture to support mobile users, fixed critical backend webhooks for payments, and began production testing on our new unified login portal to connect the entire ecosystem.
What’s New and Improved
- Overhauled Settings Navigation (Goldilocks CRM & Invoices): We’ve completely rebuilt the Settings menu from the ground up! To improve readability on mobile devices and low-resolution screens, we moved away from a clustered tab layout. Each category now has its own dedicated, clean route (
settings/*). - Smarter Invoice Importer (Goldilocks Invoices): We’ve supercharged our CSV Import Assistant. The algorithm is now much more robust, providing detailed, actionable error messages instead of generic failures to help you get your data in smoothly.
- Localization Updates: Refined and updated the Spanish translations for the Subscription Success and Subscription Cancelled screens to ensure a crystal-clear user experience for our global founders.
Bug Fixes & Stability
- Seamless Subscriptions & Purchases: Resolved breaking changes caused by a recent Stripe SDK update. All subscription renewals and suite-wide purchases are now processing flawlessly.
- Strategy Hub Timestamps: Rewrote backend endpoints so that changes to sub-items now accurately trigger an "Updated at" timestamp on the parent board.
- Milestone UI Freeze (Projects): Resolved a bug where the "Delete Milestone" confirmation modal would hang. It now refreshes the table instantly upon deletion.
- Missing Activities (Goldilocks CRM): Fixed a schema validation issue that was causing the Activity List to render incompletely.
Currently in Development (Sneak Peek)
- Universal Authentication Ecosystem: We are working on a massive upgrade to unify your experience. Soon, you'll be able to log in and sync sessions seamlessly across all our apps. The new portal (
auth.buildrunkit.com) is live in production for security and redirect testing.
Next Steps
The focus remains on rolling out the Universal Auth globally and continuing the deep dive into Discovery Stage tools. We’re also monitoring the new settings routes to ensure the smoothest mobile experience possible.
