This week, we shipped real progress to strengthen the foundation for our upcoming launch. We completely refactored Goldilocks Invoices—restructuring the frontend, overhauling the backend, and adding features like workspace support and company logos that you’ve been asking for. At the same time, we identified and began fixing critical architectural issues in our backend. This isn't just maintenance; it’s making sure the Founder Journey is powerful and stable from day one.
Major Refactor: Goldilocks Invoices
Most of this week was dedicated to a large-scale refactor of the Goldilocks Invoices application to ensure it’s ready for professional use at launch.
- Professional Invoicing: We updated the invoice layout and added support for company logos, ensuring your business looks professional the moment you start.
- Workspace Integration: We implemented workspace support and user management to ensure Invoices works seamlessly with the rest of the BuildRunKit ecosystem.
- UI Consistency: Our team overhauled components and styles to provide a more responsive and intuitive user experience.
Backend Architecture & Stability
While working on Invoices, we identified foundational issues that needed to be addressed to support long-term growth.
- Feature-Based Architecture: We are moving away from monolithic files toward a modular system. This makes the platform easier to maintain and much faster to update.
- Reduced Duplication: This refactor eliminates massive schema duplication, significantly lowering the risk of bugs before we go live.
- Reliability: These technical improvements ensure that when you start your Founder Journey, the platform stays as fast and reliable as your business needs it to be.

As we finalize the backend refactor next week, our focus shifts toward stabilizing the entire ecosystem and preparing for the upcoming subscriptions update. We are working hard to ensure BuildRunKit is the most intuitive workspace for founders when we officially open the doors.
